“We’re running the
city down; I bet you thought that you can make it on your own…”
Everything about
this movie gets me inspired and the careful manner in which attention was paid
to details is exceptional.
The film Bastille
Day 2016 by James Watkins is profoundly brilliant. Unlimited moral of the story
strands from the principle of “Good always triumphs over evil.” So much richly produced reality content, from
corruption in almost all forms of government as
we have all over the world today, to “the effect of unchecked greed” to “triumph
of the innocent” to “the unreliable place of circumstantial evidence” to “the
benefit of effective and thorough dedication to duty… the list goes on and on.
My springboard is
the great music content that is inescapable. With lines like “Many come many
fall by the side, and I will take you there if you let me drive…it is a road
less traveled” am reminded of the scene where Idris Elba goes after the
alleged bomber who has to run away from his own guilt (and innocence).
It is amazing to
also understand that music by Alex Heffes just gives the movie a whole new
appeal to me. Alex Heffes who was born in the United Kingdom and learned the
piano from an early age, graduated from Oxford University with first class
honours. Every movie he gets to be part of just has all the musical perfection
required.
“You know we gat
it, no doubt about it.”
Though my
particular love goes to “The road less traveled” I believe that every sound,
music and magnetic effect in that movie is all connected. I love them all.
Big up to Sound 24
for perfection in sound design and post production, I had to look keenly out
for that part so as to effectively celebrate the brains involved.
The rendering by Idris
Elba and Norman Cook gives a musical projection that is peculiar to voices that
are inclined to “action performance”. I call it so because of the deep
sensation of a stage performance effect that emanates from the musical
combination.
Jonathan Martin
Berry ‘s uniqueness for Guitars makes a whole new sound of music for the movie,
from chords to keys, the doors of meticulous choices kept opening my music mind to the interesting reality in
every note.
Music Editor, Gaham
Sutton has a gift that is peculiar, am sure so much hard work and dedication
was put in to elicit all of the music perfection that accompanies the movie. I
celebrate the skill.
Thanks to Sony
Music UK, EMI music publishing and Universal
Music Vision too. I believe the vision that keeps you all great will
consistently find more and more perfect expressions.
